| This is to advise you that due to the timing of the scheduled launch of NYMEX Europe Limited in London, the general meeting for shareholders and members originally scheduled to be held on September 20, 2005 has been rescheduled and will be held on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 2005 AT 3:30 P.M. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss strategic alternatives available to the Exchange and to update you on other Exchange developments including NYMEX Europe Limited and the Dubai Mercantile Exchange. Please note that this meeting will be informational only, and you will not be asked to vote for any proposal at that time. I apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
