Revised Date and Procedure for the Transition of the NYMEX miNY(sm) Energy Futures Contracts from CME® Globex® Electronic Trading Platform to NYMEX ClearPort® Trading
Please be advised that the Exchange has determined to revise the date of the transition of the NYMEX miNYsm energy futures contracts from the CME® Globex® system to NYMEX ClearPort® Trading from Monday, June 20, 2005 to Tuesday, July 19, 2005.

The purpose of this revised date is to provide an orderly transition for customers by ensuring that firms have sufficient time to establish connectivity to NYMEX ClearPort.

Previously, the Exchange announced that, due to the originally scheduled transition on June 20, the August NYMEX miNY crude oil and natural gas futures contracts would not be listed on the CME Globex platform. Due to the revised schedule, these August contracts will now be listed for trading on the CME Globex platform on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 for NYMEX miNY crude oil futures and Tuesday June 14, 2005 for NYMEX miNY natural gas futures.

The transition of the NYMEX miNY energy futures contracts from the CME Globex platform to The New York Mercantile Exchange’s ClearPort Trading on July 19, 2005 will be performed in the following manner:

NYMEX miNY Crude Oil
  • The September NYMEX miNY crude oil will not be listed for trading on the CME Globex platform.
  • The August NYMEX miNY crude oil contract will expire on the CME Globex platform at 2:30 PM EST on July 19.
  • The September NYMEX miNY crude will then be listed for trading on NYMEX ClearPort Trading at 3:15 PM EST on July 19.
NYMEX miNY Natural Gas
  • The September NYMEX miNY natural gas will not be listed to trade on the CME Globex platform.
  • The August NYMEX miNY natural gas will be listed on the CME Globex platform until 2:30 PM EST on July 19.
  • The August NYMEX miNY natural gas will then be listed on NYMEX ClearPort Trading and resume trading at 3:15 PM EST on July 19.
  • The September NYMEX miNY natural gas will be listed on NYMEX ClearPort Trading at 3:15 PM EST on July 19.
Please note that normally the "Next Month" NYMEX miNY futures contract is listed ten business days before the "Front Month" contract expires. For the transition, the September NYMEX miNY crude oil and the September NYMEX miNY natural gas futures contracts will not be listed ten business days prior to expiration of the August NYMEX miNY crude oil and the August NYMEX miNY natural gas futures contracts.

The first day that the September NYMEX miNY crude oil and natural gas futures contracts will be listed and available to trade will be Tuesday, July 19 at 3:15 PM EST on the NYMEX ClearPort Trading Platform.
