REMINDER: Type Indicator Code 2-C and Short Codes in the Ecosystem
NYMEX Division Rule 6.19, Type Indicator Codes ("CTI"), provides for the use of a CTI 2-C for the benefit of non-clearing Member Firms participating in regular trading hours and NYMEX ACCESS®. The proper designation of this Type Indicator Code will provide a Member rate for all such transactions.

All Floor Members and their clerks are advised to review their short code files and make sure that Member Firm accounts are properly designated as 2-C versus 4-C. Prompt attention to this will eliminate many requests for credits at the end of each billing cycle.

All Clearing Member representatives should note the following further enhancement incorporated into the roll-out of the Ecosystem this Saturday, February 7, 2004.

In TMS, CTI 2-C will now allow for a third-party broker, "Broker 3", to be input. Additionally, each Clearing Member will have the ability to review all short codes associated with it on-line and the ability to make the following changes in their short code files: account number, CTI number, and C/H designation. Clearing Members will not have the ability to delete or add any short codes.
