Amendments to COMEX Division Rule 4.82, Submission of Trade Data
The Board of Directors, on December 1, 2004, approved amendments to COMEX Division Rule 4.82, Submission of Trade Data. The amendments are in connection with an effort by the Joint Compliance Committee, which is comprised of regulatory personnel from all of the major U.S. futures exchanges, to unify CTI codes across all U.S. exchanges. The amendments will be effective Monday, December 20, 2004. The amendments minimally affect COMEX. The definition of CTI 1 would be narrowed to only be applicable to individual floor members. Currently, both NYMEX and COMEX allow the additional use of the CTI 1 code in electronic venues (ACCESS and ClearPortsm Trading) for non-members.
