| Notification of Amendments to NYMEX Division Rules 6.40, Simultaneous Buy and Sell Orders on the Exchange Trading Floor, and 6.41, Trading Standards for Floor Brokers |

| Please be advised that the Exchange is amending NYMEX Rules 6.40 and 6.41, effective Friday, December 3, 2004. The amended rules concern trading on the NYMEX Europe trading floor in Dublin, but only with respect to the NYMEX Brent Crude Oil market. The rule amendments now permit crosstrades in NYMEX Brent Crude Oil between the accounts of customers who have granted prior written consent and the accounts of the executing floor member or NYMEX Europe Permit Holder trading for themselves or for a proprietary account of an entity with which the member or permit holder is affiliated. Such trades must be executed as crosstrades in accordance with all applicable NYMEX rules.
