Restrictions on the Use of Wireless Technology on the Exchange Trading Floors
To prevent disruption of Exchange operating systems and secure the Exchange data, the use of wireless devices that transmit or receive data using radio frequency (RF) are prohibited, unless approved by the Exchange Information Technology ('IT') Department.

The Exchange has installed wireless detection system throughout the building. The Exchange’s IT staff will use electronic monitoring and visual inspection processes to identify unauthorized, rogue wireless devices.

The Exchange's IT and Floor Operations staff will follow the following guidelines regarding the detection and removal of unauthorized wireless devices:

1. The owner of the device will be notified that the device must be removed.

2. The owner must remove the device within 48 hours of when notice is given, – unless the device is disruptive, in which case it shall be removed immediately.

3. The owner will be provided with an application for authorization to use wireless devices on the trading floor.

Applications for the use of wireless technology on the trading floor are available at the trading floor help desk or can be obtained by contacting NYMEX Network Engineering at 212-299-2389 or sending an email requesting an application to NETENG@NYMEX.COM.
