New York Mercantile Exchange Electronic Order Network (NEON) Access and Information
The Exchange is receiving increasing interest in the New York Mercantile Exchange Electronic Order Network (NEON). This new internally-developed order routing system:

  • Provides a gateway enabling firms and traders to route orders to the Exchange's energy and metals markets.

  • Uses an open API that conforms to the industry standard Financial Information eXchange (FIX) 4.2 message formats.

  • Provides firms with a web-based display for top day and top day-1 of all order data including status and fill details.

NYMEX Division and COMEX Division brokers may now register to use NEON, but it is imperative that they notify their futures commission merchant, order management system (OMS) vendor, or other source of electronic order flow of their interest.

Please instruct your FCM, OMS, or other source of electronic order flow to call the Exchange's third party services department (Carl Saunders at 212-299-2625 or Mildred Rodriguez at 212-299-2419) as soon as possible to sign up for this new service.

If you have any further questions or would like more detailed information, please contact the Exchange's third party services department at the above phone numbers.
Should you have any questions or require any further information, please contact exchangeinfo@nymex.com
