| Launch of NYMEX ClearPort(sm) Trading 4.0 |

| Please be advised on Sunday, August 22, 2004, the Exchange will be deploying a new release of NYMEX ClearPortsm Trading (v4.0) for trade date Monday, August 23. This new version will encompass a new underlying architecture, the inclusion of the depth of market facility embedded directly in the blotter and the inclusion of enterprise dollar RAV limit checking.
