Procedures to Obtain Non-Member Floor Identification Badges (i.e., Clerks, Runners, Messengers, Interns, etc.)
Effective Tuesday, August 2, 2004, a credit and criminal report will be ordered for each prospective employee of every Member and Member Firm requesting access to the trading floor in any capacity. The information obtained in these reports will be used solely for security purposes relative to the issuance of a floor identification badge and maintenance thereof.

It is each Member and Member Firm’s responsibility to ensure that every prospective employee requiring access to the trading floor follow the procedures detailed below and have, on their possession, the necessary documents and processing fees:
  1. Member/authorized Member Firm representative must meet the prospective employee on the 1st floor and obtain from the Security Desk a Temporary (2 hour maximum) Identification badge.
  2. Escort the prospective employee to the Membership Department located on the 4th floor and obtain the “clerk registration” application forms. Complete the forms, obtain the necessary signatures and obtain check(s) for the payment of applicable fees (see below).
  3. Submit the fully executed application form along with a check in the amount of $200*, if applicable, and proof of identity to the Membership Department.
  4. Proceed to the Training and Education Department, located on the 14th floor, to register for and obtain information on required training.
  5. Proceed to the Security Office on the 1st floor. Submission of the access control card application form, a $25.00** processing fee (check or money order only) and acceptable proof of identity will be required at that time to obtain a floor identification badge. Prospective employees will not be permitted to access the trading floor until the foregoing requirements are satisfied.


*Clerk Registration Fee is waived for owners of full memberships.
**The $25.00 Security Processing Fee shall be applicable to all and must be paid separate and apart from the Clerk Registration Fee.
