| All Star Futures game |
|---|
| The New York Mercantile Exchange is proud to be the title sponsor of the Major
League Baseball 2004 Futures game, held in conjunction with the Major League All
Star game. The New York Mercantile Exchange All Star Futures game, to be held
on Sunday, July 11, in Houston, will pit the best American players in the minor
leagues against the best international players. Current Major League stars who
have appeared in this game in previous years include: World Series MVP Josh Beckett;
Lance Berkman; Hank Blalock; Rafael Furcal; Marcus Giles; Nick Johnson; Alphonso
Soriano; Jose Reyes; and Barry Zito.
As part of its sponsorship, the Exchange will co-host a party with Major League Baseball in downtown Houston from 8 PM to Midnight on Saturday, July 10 at Spencer’s in the Hilton Americas, 1600 Lamar Street. All Exchange members who plan to be in the Houston area that night are invited to join us. Please RSVP to edotson@nymex..com or by calling (212) 299-2347. Any broker who would like to request that one of their customers receive an invitation to the event, should submit the customer’s name and contact information to edotson@nymex.com. No one will be admitted to this event without a ticket. In addition the Exchange may be able to obtain some tickets to the New York Mercantile Exchange All Star Futures game and the John Hancock All-Star FanFest, interactive baseball theme attraction. Any member who would like to be put on a list, should such tickets become available, may submit their name to edotson@nymex.com. The Exchange will not allocate more than two tickets per member to either of these events. In addition, the Exchange is making every effort to obtain tickets for customer entertainment to the Home Run Derby on Monday, July 12, and the All Star game on Tuesday, July 13. The availability of these tickets is likely to be unknown until approximately one week before the game and there is no guarantee as to the quality of the seats. Any member or member firm who would like to participate in a drawing for these tickets must submit their name and the name of the customer they intend to host (there will be no more than two tickets distributed per firm and at least one of the individuals must be an energy industry customer or potential customer) by Thursday, July 1, to edotson@nymex.com. Those selected will be notified by end of business on July 2. If selected, the firm or individual selected will be responsible to reimburse the Exchange for the face value of the tickets. Please specify in your e-mail if you are only interested in one of the two events. Since it is highly unlikely that there will be sufficient tickets for the same firm or individual to receive tickets to both events, unless otherwise specified, the Exchange will assume that the All Star game is the first choice and the Home Run Derby the second choice. Finally, as a sponsor of Major League Baseball, any New York Mercantile Exchange
member may reserve rooms allocated for MLB at the Hilton or Doubletree in downtown
Houston. If you are interested, please fill out the attached form and specify
your hotel choice. |
