COMEX Division Electronic Trading Privileges Leasing Opportunity
NYMEX and the Tokyo Commodity Exchange ("TOCOM") have embarked upon a collaborative effort to identify and explore areas of cooperation and business opportunities which may be mutually beneficial. As a result of this effort, a proposal to permit TOCOM members to access, directly from computer terminals located in Japan, the contracts electronically traded on NYMEX ACCESS® contracts has been submitted to the requisite regulatory agencies. Regulatory approval is expected to be granted shortly. In anticipation of regulatory approval, the Exchange is developing a list of all COMEX seat owners interested in leasing out the electronic trading privilege that is attached to each COMEX Full membership seat. Once this list is developed, the Exchange will provide services to facilitate the leasing process between TOCOM and COMEX members. The average lease fee for a COMEX Electronic Trading Privilege is currently $100 per month. If you own a full COMEX Division Membership and are not using the privilege yourself or already leasing out the privilege and are interested in leasing out your COMEX Electronic Trading Privilege, please register with Bridget Sullivan, Manager, Member Services at bsullivan@nymex.com.
