EIA Data to be Released at 10:30 a.m. Beginning Wednesday, February 26

Today the EIA announced its decision to change the data release time to 10:30 a.m. on Wednesdays, beginning February 26. The Exchange hopes to provide an update shortly on the API plans for the release of its information and the impact on trading hours of the change in release time. Next week, the early opening will occur on THURSDAY, February 20 at 9:00 a.m. due to the Presidents' Day Holiday. The Exchange will open early next Thursday rather than on Wednesday. Open outcry trading in light sweet crude oil and Brent futures, options, and calendar spread options and Brent/WTI spread options will begin at 8:45 a.m. Open outcry in heating oil and gasoline futures, options, calendar spread options, and crack spread options will begin at 8:50 a.m. NYMEX ACCESS® trading in light sweet crude oil, Brent, heating oil, and gasoline futures will end at 8:00 a.m. Trading in the e-miNY^sm crude oil futures on GLOBEX^sm, the electronic trading platform of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Inc., will halt at 8:00 a.m. and resume at 8:45 a.m.
