Effect of Exchange Holiday Schedule on Futures and Options Expirations
With the Exchange closed for business the days after Thanksgiving and Christmas this year, the expiration and termination dates of the following contracts have been effected:

November 2003 Gold, Silver, Copper, and Aluminum Futures and
December 2003 Gold, Silver, Copper, and Aluminum Options

Despite the decision to be closed on Friday, November 28, the expiration date for the December 2003 options contract will be retained as November 24. However, the November 2003 futures contract termination date will move back one business day and terminate on the same day as the December 2003 options.

January 2004 Natural Gas, Gasoline, and Heating Oil Options

Since the Exchange will be closed the day after Christmas, the expiration date on these options will move back one business day to Wednesday, December 24.

December 2003 Heating Oil, Gasoline and Propane Futures

The expiration dates for these contracts will be moved to November 26, since the Exchange is closed on November 28, however, the heating oil and gasoline options expiration date will remain November 24.

November 2003 and December 2003 Platinum and Palladium Futures and December 2003 and January 2004 Coal Futures

These expiration dates were moved in accordance with the Exchange rules.

December 2003 Natural Gas Futures and Options

Tuesday, November 25, will remain the expiration date for the December 2003 natural gas futures and Henry Hub swap futures contracts and Monday, November 24, will be the expiration date for the December 2003 natural gas options contract.
