On Sunday, May 18, 2003, the New York Mercantile Exchange released an improved version of its NYMEX ClearPortsm Trading platform. A majority of the changes and enhancements in this new version were developed as a result of significant input and suggestions from the energy trading community. The Exchange encourages the market to continue to submit suggestions for this and all other programs.
Summary of Changes and Enhanced Features:

User options to enable or disable cross trades preventing users from hitting or lifting their own bid or offer
-
More robust customization of the trade blotter, including the ability to save the column settings, view active markets, and save preferences
-
Addition of "Cancel All/Hold All/Activate All" buttons to offer traders more flexibility on each screen
-
Expanded trader profiles settings offering the trader additional reasonability checks
-
Ability to transact (hit bid/lift offer) on the main trading screen
-
Ability to disable pop-up windows and enable 'one-click trades'
-
Personal settings allowing the trader to pre-set minimum volume and/or contract increments for execution
-
Enhanced profit and loss window showing dollar and cents P&L and cleared contract equivalent position size
