| Exchange Announces Waiver of Trading Fees for Monthly PJM Electricity Futures Contracts |

| The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., announced today that all Exchange transaction fees for its monthly financially-settled Pennsylvania/New Jersey/ Maryland (PJM) electricity futures contracts would be waived for the first six months, from the April 11, 2003 launch through October 10, 2003.
In addition to the fee waiver, the Exchange also announced that PJM Permit Holders would be charged NYMEX Member fees for Natural Gas orders executed on their behalf as legitimate offsets for their PJM positions. |
