Exchange Announces Clearing Fees for PJM Financially Settled Electricity Futures Contracts
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced Exchange transaction fees that will be implemented beginning with the January 5 trading session (which starts at 7:00 PM on January 4), for financially settled PJM electricity futures contracts. These fees are: Contracts CLEARED on NYMEX ClearPortsm   Non-Mem Rate/Side Mem Rate/Side Monthly $6.00 $5.40       (In effect since October 13, 2003) Weekly $1.60 $1.44 Daily $0.40 $0.36       Contracts TRADED on NYMEX ClearPortsm   Paid to Liquidity Provider Paid by Liquidity Taker Weekly $0.32 $1.12 Daily $0.08 $0.28       Monthly Contracts TRADED on Floor or on NYMEX ClearPortsm The fee waiver for Monthly PJM contracts traded in open outcry, or on NYMEX ClearPortsm are waived until the end of first quarter 2004. This includes the surcharge for EFSs done through the floor.
