The attached approved amendment to Supplement No. 1, "Official List of Approved Refiners and Brands" of the Silver Futures Contract is effective Monday, November 24, 2003.

| The Exchange has complied with regulatory requirements by filing with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission notification of an approved amendment to Supplement No. 1, "Official List of Approved Refiners and Brands" of the Silver Futures Contract. The approved amendment changes the hallmark or brand insignia that Johnson Matthey Limited, an Approved Refiner, incises on its silver bars. The new hallmark is "JM and crossed hammers in a diamond surrounded by Johnson Matthey Canada." The former brand insignia will continue to remain acceptable for delivery against the Silver Futures Contract.
