Invitation to Express Interest in Participation in a NYMEX Permit PROGRAM for Financially Settled Monthly, Weekly, and Daily PJM Electricity Futures Contracts.
The Exchange has recently submitted to the CFTC contract specifications for PJM Electricity Futures contracts. The contracts are cash-settled. There will be three different contracts: Monthly, Weekly, and Daily. The Monthly and Weekly contracts will trade on the NYMEX Division trading floor. To promote a successful launch for these contracts, the Exchange will be offering a permit program for traders who are able to secure clearing member guarantees. The details for this program are not yet finalized but are expected to be in the near future. If you are interested in being considered for such a program, please contact the Exchange's Marketing Department no later than February 21, 2003. No obligation to participate is incurred by such notification, but only those who do respond will be eligible to apply for permits.
