Not mentioned in the previously-referenced Notice to Members was certain ClearPortsm functionalities. Specifically, within ClearPortsm , rates are not determined as a function of the numeric CTI code. Rather, ClearPortsm maintains a database of member accounts and appropriately assigns the rate. The numeric CTI code is internally assigned based on logic established within ClearPortsm . Effective Friday, March 28, 2003, due to the ClearPortsm logic of internally calculating the numeric CTI code, the option of clearing members prescribing the numeric CTI code on an account through their administrative RAV Manager functionality was disabled. The clearing member administrative function still will require setting the house or customer designation on an account level.
As of the date of this notice, ClearPortsm logic can calculate and assign CTI's 1, 2 and 4, and additionally apply the house or customer designation as assigned by the clearing member through the administrative RAV Manager functionality. ClearPortsm functionality to calculate and assign a CTI 3 will be added in the near future, and an advice to the membership will be provided at such time.
