Approved Amendment to COMEX Copper Supplement No. 1 "Official List of Approved Brands and Markings."
The Exchange has received approval from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission to amend COMEX Copper Supplement No. 1 "Official List of Approved Brands and Markings" of the Grade 1 Copper Futures Contract. The approved amendment changes the name of the corporate entity responsible for the production of the copper brands formerly produced by Cyprus Amax Minerals Company as a result of its acquisition by the Phelps Dodge Corporation. The approved amendment also delists the copper brand CCG produced by Cyprus Tohono Corp. as it is no longer produced and there is no inventory of this brand in Exchange Licensed Warehouses. Please note there is no change in the computer code or brand insignia for these copper brands. The approved amendment is effective immediately.
