Index Price Change for Transco Zone 6 Basis Swap
Platts, the publisher of Platts Inside FERC's Gas Market Report, announced that there will be a change in the index reference price for the Transco Zone 6 basis point. The current Zone 6 price assessment includes information on New York and non-New York deals. Beginning with the first Inside FERC's Gas Market Report in July 2002, Platts will publish two new survey prices, a New York assessment and a non-New York assessment, in addition to the combined New York and non-New York survey price. This combined survey price will be eliminated after the publication of the October 2002 index with only the New York and non-New York price assessments remaining for Zone 6. Beginning with the November 2002 index, the NYMEX OTC clearing Zone 6 will be modified to reference the New York Zone 6 survey price (published as Transco Zone 6, New York).
