Voice Care Class for Members
Training and Development is offering a Voice Care class for Members on May 14 and May 16 from 3:30 p.m.- 5:30 p.m. in the 10th floor Seminar Room (1015). The seminar will be facilitated by a panel of internationally recognized voice specialists including a voice trainer, speech pathologist/vocologist and an otolaryngologist. During this seminar traders will receive the following: Identification of the overall voice need of traders Overview of the anatomy and physiology of the voice, including normal and abnormal Basic knowledge regarding care and injury-avoidance of the voice Introduction and application of "Directed Energy Vocal Technique" Application of the principles of articulation to enhance communication on the trading floor Identification of the individual strengths and deficits for each trader Development of specific strategies (verbal and physical) for the individual traders Development of a vocal workout and cool down to enhance vocal skills Availability of additional training (and appropriate referrals) beyond the workshop Voice care manual There is no cost to you for this program but participation is limited. Space is limited. It is very important that you notify the Training and Development Department if you cannot attend so we can substitute another Member in your place.
