Reminder-Recording Time of First Trade on Trading Cards
---
Members' trading cards are requested and reviewed annually by the Compliance Department. The cards are reviewed to ensure that Members are preparing their trading cards according to the requirements of NYMEX Rule 6.90-Trading Card Procedures. One frequently neglected requirement is that Members record the time of execution for the first trade on each trading card. This trade time should be recorded in one of the red boxes on the first line of each trading card. Note that there is no exclusion from this requirement. Members have asked whether they must record this time even where the trading card clearly indicates that the trade occurred during either the opening or closing range, or the post close. No trades are exempt from the requirement. Any trade recorded on the first line of a trading card must include a trade time.
