Special Electronic Trading Session for Natural Gas Futures
The New York Mercantile Exchange, Inc., today announced that it will hold a special electronic trading session for natural gas futures on NYMEX ACCESS® from 3:15 to 5:15 PM, Wednesday, July 3, so that the market can be open during the release of Energy Information Agency storage data. The data is normally released at 10:30 AM on Thursday, but the timing of the announcement was changed this week due to the Independence Day holiday. Trades conducted during the session will be considered as having been transacted during the July 8 trading date. The Exchange has worked diligently to ensure the availability of its markets during the release of this critical information so that all market participants have the ability to react as they see fit to the announcement. This additional session is being offered in direct response to customer request.
