| Large Trader Reporting Requirements for the Brent Crude Oil Futures and Options Contracts and Brent/WTI Spread Options Contract |

| This is a reminder that the Brent Crude Oil Futures and Options Contracts will begin trading on September 5 and September 6, 2001, respectively. The first delivery month (or futures termination) will be November 2001. The Daily Large Trader Report for the Brent Crude Oil Futures Contract submitted on Thursday, September 6, 2001, for the close of business on September 5, must include reportable positions for this contract. The Daily Large Trader Report for the Brent Crude Oil Options Contract submitted on Friday, September 7, 2001, for the close of business on September 6, must include reportable positions for this contract.
Additionally, the Brent/WTI Spread Options Contract will begin trading on September 7, 2001. The first contract month will be November 2001. The Daily Large Trader Report for the Brent/WTI Spread Options Contract submitted on Monday, September 10, 2001, for the close of business on September 7, must include reportable positions for this contract. The quantity fixed for filing reports pursuant to NYMEX Rule 9.33 (Position Reporting) is 350 contracts for the Brent Crude Oil Futures Contract and 50 for the Brent Crude Oil and Brent/WTI Spread Options Contracts. If a person controls or holds a position equal to, or greater than, 350 long or short in any one month, then all such futures and options on such futures, whether above the reportable level or not, shall be deemed reportable positions. If a person controls or holds a position equal to, or greater than, 50 long or short in any one option quadrant, then all such options and futures underlying such options, whether above the reportable level or not, shall be deemed reportable positions. This means that if a person holds a reportable position in the Brent/WTI Spread Options Contract, all of that person's futures in the Brent and WTI Crude Oil Contracts are also reportable. For the Clearing Members that file reports pursuant to NYMEX Rule 9.33 in a machine readable format, the six digit CFTC commodity code for the Brent Crude Oil Futures and Options Contracts is 067654. For the Brent/WTI Spread Options Contract, it is 067655. |
