New Implementation Date for NYMEX Division Give-Up Rule Moved to September 4, 2001; Announcement of September 4, 2001 Implementation for Comex Division Give-Up Rule 4.86A.
NYMEX Division Rule 9.11A, which governs execution of give-up trades in the absence of a Give-Up Agreement, was scheduled for implementation as of August 1, 2001. In order to clarify concerns raised by FCM's and Floor Members concerning specific requirements of the rule, the implementation date has been deferred until September 4, 2001. The text of the NYMEX Division Rule is contained in Notice to Members #01-154, May 7, 2001. Also note that Comex Division Rule 4.86A, which had a projected implementation date of August 1, 2001, will also be implemented on September 4, 2001. The text of the Comex Division Rule is contained in Notice to Members #01-203, June 25, 2001.
