Launch of CAPP Coal Futures Contract
On Thursday, July 12, at 10:30 AM, the New York Mercantile Exchange will launch the Central Appalachian Coal (CAPP) Futures Trading Contract. Members are invited to a breakfast in the Executive Dining Room at 8:45 AM on the 10th floor. Both Governor Paul Patton of Kentucky and Governor Bob Wise of West Virginia have been invited to ring the opening bell. The governors represent the states that produce as well as have the delivery points for CAPP Coal. We look forward to working with the membership to assure the success of this new contract.
