Reminder on NYMEX End of Week Post-Close Trading Session Rule in Effect for Tuesday, July 3, 2001
As a reminder, under the terms of NYMEX Rule 6.57A (END OF WEEK TRADING SESSION), this rule is applicable not only on Fridays but also on the trading day before a mid-week Exchange holiday. With the July 4 holiday falling on a Wednesday this year, this means that this "end-of-week" post-close rule will be in effect on Tuesday, July 3, 2001. Thus, there will be two changes to the NYMEX Division post-close procedures on Tuesday. 1. In view of the early closing schedule on Tuesday, the post-close session will start on Tuesday at 1:20 p.m. 2. Also, instead of being two minutes long, the post-close session on Tuesday will be five minutes long. All other aspects of the post-close procedures will remain the same.
