Proposed Amendments to Supplement No. 1, "Official List of Approved Refiners and Brands" of the Gold and Silver Futures Contracts and Supplement No. 2 "Official List of Approved Assayers and Assayer/Refiners" of the Platinum and Palladium Futures Contracts
The Exchange proposes to amend Supplement No. 1, "Official List of Approved Refiners and Brands" of the Gold Futures Contract and Supplement No. 1, "Official List of Approved Refiners and Brands" of the Silver Futures Contract. The proposed amendments change the status of the gold and silver brands produced by Golden West Refining Corporation Limited/Handy & Harman Refining Group, Inc. to no longer produced by adding an asterisk (*) next to the brand. The Handy & Harman Refining Group gold brand and silver brand may not be delisted since there are bars of silver and gold bearing this hallmark on deposit in Exchange Licensed Depositories.

The Exchange proposes to amend Supplement No. 2, "Official List of Approved Assayers and Assayer/Refiners" of the Platinum and Palladium Futures Contracts. The proposed amendments delists Golden West Refining Corp., Ltd./Handy & Harman Refining Group, Inc. as an Approved Assayer/Refiner from the Exchange's Palladium Futures Contract and as an Approved Assayer for the Platinum Futures Contract. There are no assay certificates issued by Handy & Harman Refining Group for platinum or palladium in any Exchange Licensed Depository nor are there any platinum or palladium bars hallmarked by Handy & Harman Refining Group.

The proposed amendments must be approved by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission ("CFTC") before becoming effective. The Exchange membership will be notified upon receipt of CFTC approval and the effective date of the amendments.
