NYMEX Division Rule 9.33/COMEX Division Rule 4.46 – Large Trader Position Reporting For Thanksgiving Day Holiday
---
This is a reminder that the New York Mercantile Exchange ("the "Exchange") and its COMEX Division will be closed on Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24, 2000. The Compliance Department’s modem lines can accept NYMEX/COMEX large trader data transmissions for the close of business Wednesday, November 22, 2000, any time after 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 22 until 8:00 A.M. on Monday, November 27, 2000. If your large trader data for the trade date November 22, 2000 is transmitted on any day other than Thursday, November 23, 2000, please ensure that the trade date that appears in each record is November 22, 2000. The computer system will accept no other date. There have been problems in the past when the Exchange was closed because clearing members’ computer systems automatically counted ahead one day. In such cases, the data transmitted on the first business day following the Exchange holiday incorrectly referenced the trade date as the date of the holiday instead of the date preceding it.
