NYMEX Rule 9.33/COMEX Rule 4.46-Large Trader Position Reporting For Labor Day Holiday
This is a reminder that the New York Mercantile Exchange (the "Exchange") and its COMEX Division will be closed on Monday, September 4, 2000. The Compliance Department’s modem lines can accept NYMEX/COMEX large trader data transmissions for the close of business Friday, September 1, 2000, from 12:00 P.M. on Sunday, September 3 until 8:00 A.M. on Tuesday, September 5, 2000. As a note, data cannot be accepted on Saturday, September 2 owing to power down testing.

If your large trader data for the trade date September 1, 2000 is transmitted on any day other than Monday, September 4, 2000, please ensure that the trade date that appears in each record is September 1, 2000. The computer system will accept no other date. There have been problems in the past when the Exchange was closed because clearing members’ computer systems automatically counted ahead one day. In such cases, the data transmitted on the first business day following the Exchange holiday incorrectly referenced the trade date as the date of the holiday instead of the date preceding it.
