Updated ATS Policy and FAQ
The CME Group policy for Automated Trading Systems (ATS) identification and registration has been amended to set the procedures and policies for registering ATS operators when a team of people work together simultaneously to operate the ATS.

All clearing firms must ensure that ATS workstation operator identifier (SenderSubID, FIX tag 50) values are properly and accurately registered when so required as set forth in the Advisory. Some ATS are now being managed by groups of individuals that simultaneously share operating and monitoring duties. Effective August 27, 2007, the Exchange Fee System ("EFS") will support the registration of these teams. While at this time the policy only applies to CME products, it is anticipated that the policy will be applied to CBOT products when those products migrate to the CME Globex platform.

This advisory will discuss the circumstances under which Team ATS may be registered, and the procedures for doing so.

The Regulatory Advisory, with more information on the new ATS policy and the updated ATS FAQ, is available online.
