CME Market Data Platform Channel
Changes
In response to reported customer VPN performance issues in the CME New Release and
Certification environments, CME is making the following changes to the CME Market Data Platform.
These changes will be effective
end of day June 19 in Certification and
end of day June 20 in New Release. Customers may require network configuration
changes. The new multicast addresses are available online in the
Certification Channel
Definitions and
New Release
Channel Definitions.
The ITC2.1 format channels on the CME Market Data Platform (3, 4, 5 and 6) will each have a new,
dedicated multicast address. These channels are currently unavailable until end of day June 19 in
Certification and June 20 in New Release. Please note: CME
strongly recommends customers connected to the Certification and New Release
environments via VPN join only one ITC2.1 channel at a time to avoid exceeding their VPN
bandwidth.
The RLC production feeds in the Certification environment will be unavailable for VPN customers
since they exceed VPN bandwidth.
The Instrument Creation (MO (m-oh)) Replay channels (1 and 16) will each be assigned a new,
dedicated multicast address. Currently both channels are on the same multicast. With this change,
customers can join each channel separately via their network configuration.
If you have any questions, please contact CSET at 312.930.2322. CME now also offers
higher-bandwidth connectivity options. Please contact your
CME Globex Account Manager at 312.634.8700, or
in Europe at 44.207.796.7100 to establish certification connectivity.
