Dear CME Globex Customers,

As announced in Q4 2005, the legacy CME Market Data API (MD API) will be decommissioned in favor of the CME Market Data Platform, the more efficient and scalable market data dissemination system introduced in July 2005. CME MD API can no longer be supported due to the growth in market data and the resulting need to reduce both bandwidth consumption and message delivery latencies.

However, in response to customer requests, CME is postponing the elimination of CME MD API for two months, from the original date Saturday, July 1, 2006, to Friday, September 8.

Customers who have not migrated to the CME Market Data Platform as of September 9 will be charged $1000.00 per week, per CME MD API neighbor (individual connection). This support fee is required to offset maintenance costs incurred by CME to maintain the legacy interface infrastructure. CME reserves the right to escalate charges if necessary.
