Welcome to the CME Globex Notices summary for the week of July 17, 2006.

NYMEX miNY Listings 
To facilitate the launch on August 6 of extended listings for the NYMEX miNY® futures on the CME Globex platform, CME will eliminate all GTC and GTD resting orders immediately after the close today, Friday July 21, 2006, for the NYMEX products:

  • QM — NYMEX miNY Crude Oil futures
  • QH — NYMEX miNY Heating Oil futures
  • QU — NYMEX miNY Gasoline futures
  • QG — NYMEX miNY Natural Gas futures
  • QB — NYMEX Europe miNY Brent futures

All GTC and GTD orders in these products will be cancelled in both the CME certification and production environments. In addition, if your front-end system requires it, customers must purge their instrument databases for both the CME certification and production environments and re-populate using new Instrument Creation (MO (m-oh)) market data messages. Please contact your front-end system provider for more information.


Reminder: New NYMEX Energy Product: Brent Financial Futures and Spreads 
Effective Sunday, July 23, 2006 (for trade date Monday, July 24), NYMEX Brent Financial futures will be available for trading on the CME Globex platform. The Crude Oil-Brent Financial, a new intercommodity spread, will also be available.

Brent Financial futures and spreads will launch with implied functionality.

As a reminder, position 777 of the MO (m-oh) market data message indicates whether a product will return legs and create implied orders. For more information, please see the CME Market Data Platform Message Specifications.

Reminder: European-Style CME FX Options 
Effective Sunday, July 30, 2006 (for trade date Monday, July 31), European-style options on the CME British Pound, CME Canadian Dollar and CME Swiss Franc futures will launch on the CME Globex platform. The European-style CME FX options will trade side-by-side on the trading floor and the CME Globex electronic trading platform. The listings and the trading of American-style CME FX options are unchanged.

These European-style CME FX options are currently available for customer testing in the CME certification environment.

NYMEX ACCESS Products on the CME Globex Platform 
Effective Sunday, August 6, 2006 (for trade date Monday, August 7), the following physically settled NYMEX ACCESS products will be available for trading on the CME Globex platform:

  • Crude Oil futures
  • Heating Oil futures
  • RBOB Gasoline futures
  • Gasoline futures
  • Natural Gas futures
  • Propane Gas futures
  • Palladium futures
  • Platinum futures
  • NYMEX miNY Palladium
  • NYMEX miNY Platinum

Please note: these NYMEX ACCESS products will trade on the CME Globex platform during electronic trading hours only. These hours are different than those available on the NYMEX ACCESS platform.

In addition, the CME Globex platform is scheduled to launch a number of futures strips and intercommodity spreads on NYMEX futures. CME is also listing out all currently-available NYMEX miNY futures to match the underlying full-sized contracts.

These new products will be available in the CME certification environment for customer testing this Sunday, July 23, 2006.
