Dear CME Globex Customers,
Effective Sunday, July 30, 2006 (for trade date Monday, July 31), European-style options on the CME British Pound, CME Canadian Dollar and CME Swiss Franc futures will launch on the CME Globex platform. The European-style CME FX options will trade side-by-side on the trading
floor and the CME Globex electronic trading platform. The American-style CME FX options are unchanged.
This product line is extended with contract terms designed to appeal to over-the-counter (OTC) FX options market participants.
By definition, European-style options are exercised at expiration only.
These European-style CME FX options are currently available for customer testing in the CME certification environment.
