Dear CME Globex Customers,

This Sunday, May 21, 2006 (for trade date Monday, May 22), for the first time, CME is scheduled to launch end-of-month options on CME E-mini S&P 500^® and CME S&P 500 futures on the CME Globex electronic trading platform.

End-of-month options are European-style options, and expire at 3:00 p.m. Central time on the last business day of the month into the nearest-expiring futures contract. End-of-month options on CME E-mini S&P 500 futures will be available exclusively on the CME Globex platform; end-of-month options on CME S&P 500 futures will be available on the trading floor during regular trading hours and on the CME Globex platform during extended trading hours. Five market makers will be supporting liquidity in these new end-of-month options upon launch.

End-of-month options are currently available for testing in the CME certification environment.
