On February 12, 2006, CME is launching the CME E-mini S&P Asia 50^® futures contract, based on the S&P Asia 50 Index.

The CME E-mini S&P Asia 50 is constructed of 50 of the largest stocks traded in Hong Kong, Korea, Singapore and Taiwan. Representing approximately 70 percent of each country's market capitalization, this index is an ideal pan-Asian benchmark.

The CME E-mini S&P Asia 50 futures contract is currently available for testing in the CME certification environment.
