Dear CME Globex Customers,

As previously announced, CME is implementing several enhancements to the CME Globex electronic trading platform to facilitate broader access, liquidity and market-making activity in CME options on futures. For the convenience of our customers, the new functionalities were bundled into two releases. Release 1, enhancements to the CME Interest Rate products, was successfully launched in August. Release 2, featuring enhancements to the CME Equity and CME FX products, will be launched in the CME production environment this Sunday, October 9, 2005. Features of this release include:

• Mass Quoting functionality on CME Equity and CME FX options for CME-designated market makers;
• Enhanced Market Maker Protections on CME Equity and CME FX options for CME-designated market makers; and,
• Enhanced options price banding.
