Dear CME® Globex® Customers,

As a reminder, the surcharge phase of the CME Globex Messaging Policy will become effective Sunday, October 2, 2005.

First announced in April 2005, the CME Messaging Policy addresses extreme messaging behavior by measuring the quality of trading activity at the Class A firm level. The policy was implemented without surcharges for several months to allow CME customers to adjust to the new policy and to allow CME to evaluate the policy's effectiveness.
