Dear CME® Globex® Customers,

In response to customer requests for more advanced weather products, CME is introducing two new weather-related products: CME Seasonal Strip Weather futures on 27 U.S. and European cities, and CME Frost Days Monthly and Seasonal futures for Amsterdam. These futures contracts will launch on the CME Globex electronic trading platform effective 5:00 p.m. Central time, Thursday, September 22, 2005 (trade date September 23).

CME Seasonal Strip Weather and Amsterdam CME Frost Days futures will be traded exclusively on the CME Globex platform, and are block trade eligible.

CME Seasonal Strip Weather futures enable customers to select specific months within a season to trade, bringing greater flexibility and improved scalability to the marketplace. CME Frost Days futures represent the next logical step in creating more sophisticated weather risk management tools; they are designed to manage the significant risk posed by frost.

The Monthly and Seasonal CME Frost futures and CME Seasonal Strip futures for one U.S. city and one European city will be available in the CME Globex certification environment effective Sunday, September 11, 2005.
