Dear CME® Globex® Customers,
To provide support and to communicate new releases and system notifications, CME must have accurate and complete contact information
for all CME FirmSoft users. Associating a unique e-mail address with your CME FirmSoft User ID allows the self-administration
of password resets.
On Sunday, July 31, 2005, a CME FirmSoft user information verification screen was added to CME FirmSoft 4.0. By September 9, 2005, all CME FirmSoft users must:
- Log in to CME FirmSoft;
- Verify contact information;
- Create a security question and answer; and,
- Proceed past the user information verification screen to the CME FirmSoft 4.0 interface.
Please note that you only have to update your user information once. Upon subsequent log in, after you have successfully updated your personal information, you will bypass the verification
screen.
These enhancements have been made, at the request of CME FirmSoft users, to improve the availability of support for the CME
FirmSoft tool.
On September 11, 2005, the User IDs of any CME FirmSoft users who have not yet logged in and updated their information will be deactivated. To reactivate a CME FirmSoft User ID:
- Log in to CME FirmSoft;
- Update your user information; and then,
- Contact the CME Globex Control Center at 312.456.2391 to request the CME FirmSoft User ID be reactivated.
The CME FirmSoft User IDs of any CME FirmSoft users who have not completed the steps outlined above by September 30, 2005 will be deleted.
It is essential for password security that each CME FirmSoft user registers a unique e-mail address with CME; the use of distribution list e-mail addresses is
strongly discouraged.
