Dear CME Market Data Customers,
On this Saturday, April 16, 2005, from approximately 7:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Central time (CT), CME will engage in performance testing in the CME Market Data production environment in order to test the environment's capacity. We intend to send up to 6,000 messages per second, or roughly 12Mbit per second,
through the CME Market Data environment during the testing cycle, and will run the cycle six times.
In order to mitigate any negative impact on your system, CME strongly advises customers who do not wish to participate in this testing to disconnect their applications from both
the CME Market Data API 2.X (MD API) and CME Market Data Network (MDN) production feeds before 7:00 a.m. CT on Saturday, April 16. Customers may safely disconnect at any time, and may safely reconnect their systems after 5:00 p.m. CT Saturday.
Customers who are interested in testing the performance and reliability of their systems under very high message rates may
participate in this testing session. In each test, CME will increment the number of messages being sent using several different
CME Products. The proposed schedule, and a list of the CME futures and options on futures contracts that will be used for
the testing, is detailed below:
