Subject Reminder - CME Ethanol futures on CME(R) Globex(R)
Notice Date 2005-03-24
Notice Number 032405-3
Effective Date

Dear CME® Globex® Customers,

Effective Tuesday, March 29, 2005, CME will begin offering new CME Ethanol futures contracts.

The new CME Ethanol futures will trade exclusively on the CME Globex platform. Ethanol is an alternative fuel produced by fermenting and distilling starch crops, usually corn, which have been converted into simple sugars and then into ethanol. Most commonly used to increase octane and improve the emissions quality of gasoline, it has the potential to reduce oil dependencies.

The ticker symbol is ET. The new CME Ethanol futures are currently available for testing in the CME certification environment.

Sempra Commodities®, one of North America's largest full-service energy trading companies, will serve as the lead market maker. Contact John Brooks of Sempra directly at 203.355.5451 to discuss CME Ethanol current market activity. In addition, free real-time quotes will be available at launch and can be viewed at www.cme.com/ethanol.
