FIA Disaster Recovery Testing on 10/9/04

Dear GLOBEX® Customers,

On Saturday, October 9, 2004, Chicago Mercantile Exchange will participate in the FIA's industry-wide disaster recovery test, which will also include other U.S. futures exchanges, clearinghouses, FCMs, and back office providers. On Saturday, September 18, 2004 a pre-test for FTP access will be held. All CME and CBOT member firms are asked to participate in this very crucial test.

In an effort to ensure that the correct staff at each firm has notification of this very important test CME will be sending this notice via multiple communication venues. We apologize to those who receive multiple copies. CME asks that firms communicate the timing and nature of this test to their staff, sub-firms, and affiliates, so that everyone has the opportunity to ensure their back-up trading and clearing plans are tested.

Please take a moment to complete the attached questionnaire. Fax the completed form to CME's BCP / DR Department at 312-715-6255. Please direct any questions concerning the test to Karl Weinberg at 312-648-3772.
