Subject Final Reminder - Upcoming CME(R) Globex(R) Enhancements
Notice Date 2004-10-13
Notice Number 101304-1
Effective Date

Dear CME® Globex® Customers,

On October 17, 2004, Chicago Mercantile Exchange will roll out CME Globex host enhancements, which will include implied butterfly spread trading of Eurodollars on CME Globex. As this release includes changes that may impact your front-end system regardless of the products and strategies it supports, CME recommends that all system providers test against these changes in the certification environment. Customers whose systems allow Eurodollar trading should certify for the associated changes in iLinkTM and the Market Data Application Programming Interface (MD API). iLink certification for these changes should be done using the CME Globex Enhancements 2.0 Tests suite on the CME Autocert tool. The MD API certification for these changes should be scheduled with CSET by your Globex Account Manager. As with all other Eurodollar contracts, except packs and bundles, the butterfly spreads will be matched according to CME's allocation algorithm. Eurodollar packs and bundles are matched using first in first out methodology.

For more detailed information on the changes included in this release, please refer to the client impact documentation on the CME Web site at CME Globex Enhancements.

For any other questions, please contact your Globex Account Manager at 312.634.8700 or email Globex Account Management.

Thank you,
