We have recently made the following changes to our TOPS software to address some concerns expressed by our clearing firms.

      New message screen to view rejected and reformatted orders

      Reflect destination changes on the History (IH) screen

      Applied new restriction on certain cancel-replaces

New Rejected and Reformatted order Screen

Occasionally, orders queued for delivery to CUBS and GLOBEX are not delivered to the expected device when an outage occurs.  You can now view these orders through the newly developed Message Screen (RL).  Access this screen by placing the letters �RL� in the NS Field. 

The TOPS RL screen enables you to view both rejected and reformatted orders.  TOPS rejects queued GLOBEX destined orders, and reformats queued CUBS destined orders during outages.  TOPS then reroutes the reformatted CUBS destined orders to a printer.

Destination Changes on the History (IH) screen

When a destination change occurs, the History Screen (IH) now reflects the correct destination of those orders.

Restriction on Cancel-Replaces

Cancel replacing orders when the order destination changes, has always been problematic and is no longer allowed in TOPS.  You are now required to straight cancel the working order and then send in a new order when the destination will change.

Example: You want to cancel-replace a day order to a GTC or visa versa.  Day orders are routed to AG1 and GTC orders are routed to AG2.  You will have to straight cancel the order and submit a new order.  An attempt to cancel-replace the order will result in the display of an error message, �R 535 order destination has changed � cancel and add �.
