| PROBLEM: On Sunday, June 23, 2002, at approximately 5:00 PM CT, numerous firms reported connectivity issues on GL Trader terminals. CPU processor utilization issues arising from the distribution of Globex mock trader software, resulted in delaying the Sunday evening opening to 12:00 AM CT. IMMEDIATE RESPONSE: Emergency messages were placed. Senior staff was notified and operational staff began the process of restoring service to affected users. RESOLUTION: Developmental specialists were able to isolate and resolve problems of excess capacity utilization and restore service to all customers by 11:30 PM CT.
