| PROBLEM: On Thursday, June 13, 2002, at 2:53 PM CT, the iLink servers responsible for order entry and sending acknowledgements went to back-up and subsequently reverted, in some instances, to primary. As a result, some customers received erroneous reject messages on orders that had previously received proper accept and/or filled acknowledgements. IMMEDIATE RESPONSE: Emergency messages were placed. Senior staff was notified and operational staff began the process of monitoring and restoring service to all users. Registered contacts were assisted with order status on the orders sent reject messages. RESOLUTION: Developmental specialists will investigate this event to determine the exact nature of its cause and will then make a recommendation to senior staff on a permanent solution. As in the case of orders stuck in a pending state, the receipt of reject messages on orders that were previously statused as working and/or filled, necessitate immediate action be taken to have such orders statused by GCC. If you have any questions, please call the GCC at 312-456-2391 option 2. |
