| CAUSE: On Friday, December 07, 2001, at approximately 8:33 AM CT, users sessions began dropping without any apparent reason on lines $RNGNY1, $RNGFN1, and $RNGFN4. RESPONSE: Sessions were recovered between 08:40 and 08:45 AM, for the $RNGNY1 and $RNGFN1 lines. By 9:03 AM, users were able to reactivate their sessions on line $RNGFN4 after we rebooted gateway SNW2SSAA04. RESOLUTION: Network and development specialists will investigate this outage to determine the exact nature of its cause and will then make a recommendation to senior staff on a permanent solution.
